Employers

You may not have considered the Higher Education possibilities for you and your employees. Perhaps you think that it’ll be too costly, or you think there’ll be no direct benefit to your business or you think your employees won’t be interested. Well, think again!

In the developed world, the UK is rated in the lower half for ‘employee Higher Education skills levels′. This not only makes an impact upon the UK economy, but more directly affects your businesses competitiveness, productivity and long-term profitability.

If employers are to compete domestically and internationally they will need to support and encourage a highly skilled and qualified work force. To do this, the country will need 1.73 million more people with HE qualifications by 2010.

Higher Education is a study programme usually taken after the age of 18 or Level 3 qualifications.  It can be accessed by many different routes and could be studied part-time by your staff – take a look at our work-based learning page.

You’ll find plenty of information about HE and how it can benefit employers on our web site, so take a look around. If you can’t find what you’re looking for or need some additional help, contact us.
