A Level
students are being encouraged to take an Open University short
course to help them with their future higher education
applications.
At a meeting
in a local school, Jackie Jackson, an Aimhigher project worker,
advised first year A Level students of the benefits of taking an
Open University science-based short course. This would involve
around 70 - 80 hours of study, most of which would fall during
their summer school holidays.
Successful
completion of these courses can be used on an UCAS form or CV as
evidence of independent study, self motivation and time management
skills. Back
